First 2019 smallie
« on: February 10, 2019, 10:11:15 PM »
I wanted to fish a couple of days ago when it was warmer but couldn't, so for out for first time in river today. I hit an area outside of Charles Town in the kayak.  I had about 2.5 hours so I bit a known winter area and rigged up a couple of rods to drag a tube and stand up 3" leech.

Short story is that it was quality over quantity with just a single hit on a tube. But it was a thick 18.5" smallie that put up a great fight with pulling a little drag!

Nice fish!
Fishing is not my hobby, and a bass boat is not a “toy”. Fishing is a way of life in which I can’t do without. I fish in Ranger Boats. If those close to you don’t support your way of life, remove them. Life is short and kayaks are shorter. God is good, so get to know him. Hillary smells like sulfer.
