Friday October 14th was a beautiful day on the water.  Peter Arnold and I launched my Ranger at Wilson Point Park, and Tom Wewerka and his buddy Dominic met us at the dock.

We started out fishing a main river point at the mouth of Middle River.  Here Peter got a nice one on a Boo Rig with a swim shad.  Tom and Dominic caught a few shorts out here.

We caught several more here but they were all a half inch or so short of the 20” requirement.  I was catching mine on a 5” swim shad.  We ran back into the river and fished a point near the ramp where we hit a few more.

After hitting Middle River for a few hours, we ran to the mouth of Back River where I caught one 20.25” on an Xcalibur XR50 in Citrus Shad.

Sunday October 16th was another beautiful day on the Bay and this time my buddy Kevin and my son came along.  We arrived in Middle River at 7am and we were soon catching fish on main river points in Middle River.  The 20” keepers were tough to come by though.  I boated just one beautiful 24” striper inside the Middle River on a concrete sea plane ramp in 2’ of water.  This fish ate a 5” swim shad.

It was a nice day on the water and Kevin and my son had a blast.  My son drove much of the day, and Kevin is now filled in on the striper locations and movements in the vicinity of Middle River, Back River, and the islands.

I fish two prime areas for these stripers.  The Upper Bay and the FAR lower Potomac such as the Northern Neck area.  This area is 2hrs south of Fairfax and there are fish and crabs everywhere down there.  Housing is CHEAP, and land is CHEAP.  This home is just $79k and it's in a PRIME spot.  http://www.navicamls.net/displays/?n=319&i=1550737&k=4uh8G    David Fine is the person to talk to about this area.  He knows it really well.  This is his site with more listings. http://www.northernneckgetaway.com/default.asp?content=expanded&search_content=office_listings&this_format=0&mls_number=99727

Don't forget if you need windows, my friend Jeff Fine owns ECO WINDOWS and they will beat any competitors price around here.  Their install teams are highly skilled and Jeff is a great person to do business with.  Both of the above named companies are BayBass sponsors and without these companies, I would not be able to keep up with the costs of running this site.  Speaking of which, we have a new sponsor, PC & Mobile out of Sterling.  If you have a broken or damaged phone that needs fixing, or an old phone you want to activate for a family member, these guys are the BEST in the area.  I've spent nearly $1,000 with them over the past 3 years, fixing numerous phones.  They are fair and their customer service is awesome.  Please help me support those who make this all possible.
